Oven-Baked S’mores Dip
February 15, 2018Everyone loves a gooey S’more by the campfire. This quick and easy recipe brings that yumminess indoors for the perfect summer treat in the middle of winter. Get yourself a Lodge 8-inch pre-seasoned cast-iron skillet, including a silicone hot-handle holder from Coastal and watch this sugary concoction disappear along with a bag or two of graham crackers.
Ingredients
- ½ tablespoon butter
- 1 ½ to 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or a combo of both)
- 1 bag of campfire-size marshmallows (cut each marshmallow in half)
- Graham crackers squares
Directions
Put your cast iron skillet in the cold oven on the middle rack and preheat oven to 450º F.
Once the oven reaches the right temperature, remove the skillet and add the butter. This should coat the bottom of the skillet.
Pour your chocolate chips evenly into the skillet. Now, place your half marshmallows into the skillet on top of the chocolate chips. Arranging them in circles works best.
Bake in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes, until marshmallows are toasted to a golden brown. This part is fun to watch!
Serve immediately right out of the skillet. Use graham crackers for dipping. Just be careful. The skillet will still be hot.
